❝Sea Fog is the only truly sad song on the album. I live in a valley, near the sea. Sometimes the fog from the sea comes to the valley. One minute you might be looking out the window and it could be sunny, and then suddenly you can’t see anything anymore. That is the sea fog. It says a lot about the kind of human I am, but sometimes I want the fog to swallow me up and make me disappear forever. The song also has a romantic element: I voice the wish to be happy with what I have in my life. I wish it was true. It is a very sad song, but it is my favourite at the same time, together with Silenced By the Night. I wrote them on the same day, which is crazy. I find it embarrassing to say about my own work, but I really like Sea Fog. The beauty of it makes the song slightly less sad than the lyrics suggest.❞
